 School age children feel that they are different from pre-school children and want to be treated accordingly. We agree!
School age children have specific child care needs. As parents, you want to know that your child is being supervised in a safe and stimulating environment. Family Day’s School Age Programs are created for children in Grades 1 through 6.
In our centre programs, activities are planned and led by Early Childhood Educators. In our Home Child Care Programs. A caregiver may care for a wide range of children, from infants to 12 years, in her family-style environment. Caregivers create stimulating activities for their older children, including special community trips in the summer.
Our program activities include a wide variety of arts and crafts, sports and games. There is also an opportunity to do homework if a child chooses. In some locations, we may be able to offer before and/or after school care for alternate-day Kindergarten children already enrolled in the centre. In July and August we run Summer Fun Programs.

Summer Fun Program
Family Day School Age Programs offer full-day, weekly programs for the older children in our Summer Fun Program – our fun alternative to camp. Following specially designed curriculum, children explore different topics through a variety of activities including fieldtrips and community outings. The summer programs are very popular and space is usually limited. Register for the whole summer or individual weeks - great flexibility for your family's summer plans.
Fee Subsidy
You may qualify for child care subsidy. Contact the Children's Services in the area you live for more information and to apply.
